Salicylic Acid is a beta hydroxy acid. It has a comedolytic effect owing to its lipophilic action. It dissolves intercellular cement, reducing corneocyte adhesion. Because of its lipophilic nature, it can penetrate the sebaceous glands, thus affecting follicular keratinization. It also decreases inflammatory lesion count.
Mandelic Acid is one of the largest alpha hydroxy acid molecules and penetrates the skin slowly and uniformly, making it an ideal peeling agent of choice in sensitive skin. Studies have shown that combination peels with Salicylic & Mandelic Acid showed significant improvement in inflammatory acne lesions.

Procedure:
Cleanse skin thoroughly with Gentle Hydro Cleansing Oil.
De-grease skin with Chemical Peel Prep Solution.
Shake peel bottle prior to use. Apply 1-5 coats to skin. Wait 2-3 minutes between each coat.
Do not neutralize. Do not rinse.
Gently wipe skin with a moistened esthetic gauze pad to remove any peel precipitation(residue).
This procedure should be repeated biweekly( 2 x a week) for a total of six sessions. The series can be repeated as needed.
