L-Mandelic acid, referred to as the 'German mandel - almond", is a larger molecule than glycolic acid molecule therefore can be more easily tolerated on the skin types that cannot tolerate glycolic acid.
L-Mandelic acid, as opposed to glycolic acid or lactic acid, has antibacterial and anti-microbial properties and is lipophilic "oil loving"(sebo-regulating) making it the choice for oily, blemish prone skin.
L-Mandelic acid is recommended to improve the appearance of acne, rosacea, folliculitis and "acne brown spots", referred to as post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

Mandelic Acid has a larger molecular mass (larger molecule) than glycolic and lactic, therefore it penetrates slower with more even penetration. The larger molecule means less/minimal stinging with reduced irritation of the skin.
Directions: Cleanse and tone skin. Apply one pad to clean, dry skin in circular motions from forehead to neck. Continue until pad feels dry. Tingling or stinging sensation may be expected. Avoid applying to lips and eye region. Allow to sit on skin from 5 to 10 minutes. Neutralize and rinse.
For sensitive users: Apply for two minutes, then neutralize and rinse. Increase the frequency and exposure time slowly as tolerated. Use in the evening. Avoid applying to lips and eye region.
Oily skin types, thicker skin or photo-damage, can use 1-2 times a week. Use in the evening. Do not rinse or neutralize. Avoid applying to lips and eye region.
Sunburn Alert:;This product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen,wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.
